Who You Are:

In our ongoing quest to bring imagination to life, we are seeking a skilled and inventive Prop Maker/Set Designer to join our team based in Carlton. This hands-on role is integral to crafting the physical props and sets that populate our fantastical video productions, offering either full-time or part-time engagement.

As our Prop Maker, your hands will bring the physical touch to our team, creating tangible connections between our content and our viewers. Your dedication to craft and ability to turn virtual sets into real-world objects will be the key to enchanting our audience and elevating our productions.

Your Responsibilities and Skills:

• Prop/Set Design and Construction: Design and construct a diverse array of durable props and sets that translate digital concepts into tangible creations.
• Collaborative Work: Collaborate closely with the creative team to comprehend the vision and requirements of each project.
• Materials and Techniques Utilization: Employ a wide range of materials and techniques to produce high-quality, visually striking props and sets that are functional and safe.
• Effective Time Management: Manage time efficiently to meet production deadlines, ensuring timely completion of props and sets for use.
• Workspace Organization: Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, including inventory management of materials and tools, as well as timely ordering of supplies.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve prop and set-related issues during both pre-production and on-set stages of production.
• Craftsmanship Standards: Uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship, ensuring that all props and sets align with Spawnpoint Media's reputation for excellence.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Prop Maker/Set Designer, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials, with the ability to adapt to various design styles and themes.
• Excellent time-management skills, with the capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• A creative mindset with attention to detail and a problem-solving approach to design challenges.
• Proficiency in using a wide range of tools and equipment safely and effectively. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with the gaming and entertainment industry, particularly Minecraft, is a bonus.
